The current playoff format is boring as shite.
Only 4 teams care about it.
Everybody screamed for th playoffs so we could have excitement
Now everybody is screaming for expanded playoffs so it will be exciting.
People can't get it through their thick skulls that change does not necessarily = Good. Expand the playoffs and things will NOT get better. You will have even more lopsided, boring games. The fans demanding change are killing football. The powers that be are only trying to give the fans what they are demanding.

What if The Tide agrees to play with just 10 men?...would that make you happy then?
Only if I can pick the player that cannot play.
Wait...can it be one on offense and one on defense? Still 10 players. Or maybe 10 can play and those same 10 have to play on offense and defense? Both ways?

“toss in that a lot of younger people just don't like sports any longer. They prefer computer gaming, drugs, sex with themselves, and larping.
Older people are getting burned out on the wokeness. “
We may be related.

How in the world can anybody make a cogent argument for why anyone should care what the ratings are?!
The TV people are doing just fine, the schools ain’t hurting, the teams couldn’t care less, the fans of the teams aren’t impacted, and casual fans only matter to advertisers- who again, aren’t struggling.
College football is neither dead nor dying. Since 1992, only one game has truly mattered. Stop pretending like the bowls are any less today than they were 30 years ago. They are another opportunity to see your team play - just enjoy it.
Now, if you want to complain about the schedule of bowls or how ESPN mishandles all of it, then have at it.

NYE is just a horrible television sports day.
Yep...thought they'd learn their lesson when the first ever CFP was on NYE and the ratings were poor. Guess not.

The actual playoffs blow. All the rest of the NY6 games were far more enjoyable games this year.
