Tennessee and auburn fans (auburn isn't guilty in this thread) talking about how much richt/Murray suck always cracks me up.
Richt is 8-4 against both of these backup schools. Murray is 3-0 vs. Tennessee and 2-1 vs. auburn (76 consecutive points rung up and counting).
Shouldn't these schools full of kids from Georgia who didn't get in UGA pick a different target?

This is not true. In 2011 are d was nasty, but it was just as unproven as it will be this year. in 2012 when they were supposed to be great and were proven they sucked.
If we can go at least 2-1 vs clemson, usc, and lsu, we will be in the sec championship again playing for the natty again.
Also I read a bama poster say he doesn't think uga can beat bama cuz saban will out coach richt. I love richt, but obviously saban is the best coach in college football. I think richt out coached him in the sec championship game. For the example the fake punt was a great call

I think so too. UGA led the majority of the game. There were lead changes but UGA led the game more than bama by at least a 3/1 ratio.
UGA's defense got tired. Otherwise, UGA was very close to putting the game away in the 3rd quarter.

Although it was a loss, it was the most fun game I have ever been too. The loudest I have ever screamed was when Ogletree took the blocked field goal to the house!!!!
And just to clarify sec rant: I said richt out coached saban for one game. I love richt and believe he will win a national championship at uga unless he leaves for mission work randomly in the next few years, but he is not a better than the best.

dude we were 3 yards away. Our entire offense is back other than tk and marlon brown. We lost a lot of defense players, but what is the worst that can happen? Give up 500 yards rushing to bama???

Their defense will be retooling too much for them to win it all, they'll probably lose to USCe again, and I'd have UF beating them too.

Did OP even bother to actually WATCH the SECCG? Or the 350 yds of rushing whoop azz that Bama put on them? When you give up 350 yds rushing like that and you have so many draft picks on your defense....hmmmm...coaching perhaps? UGA lost 8 starters on defense EIGHT and a a few backups.
UGA will have very good offense and last time I checked its the defense that wins crystal balls, so UGA will be fun for leghumpers to watch at times...but they will not win the SEC east unless UF & USC fall into a deep hole.

I say Georgia doesn't win the NC this year. They will most certainly regress from last year, as undisciplined teams do. Bama likely to regress a la 2010 this year as well. Georgia won't win the SEC let alone the NC, and they'll likely not win the East this year

Georgia had a solid team playing in the SECCG against the worst Western Division champion since 2008. This season the West champ looks to rebound and be great again, and Georgia will likely lose in the Georgia Dome (shocker) if they win the East.
