09 I was just happy the score was close.
I had that attitude before the game, but after, it still felt we lost by 100.

2005 was probably the best top 5 of the decade.

Gosh, just think if Saban could have one the Sugar Bowl, Bama would have been in the top 5.

I thought Dominant teams could beat the likes of boise st and west Va. Chokelahoma should barely make the top ten much less the top two. What a Joke.

I kinda disagree. UF and LSU had some not so impressive years early in the decade. If this is based on how well they did each year of the decade, OU and Texas have been a bit more consistent.
Not really. I also put a lot of weight on LSU, Florida and USC being dominant in high profile non-conference game, and yes, national championship mean a helluva lot. I also ask myself if OU would have had the success they've had in the SEC. The fact that LSU and Florida had their success AND played in the toughest conference means a lot. The Big 12 isn't bad, but it ain't the SEC.

We had a few sub par years during the decade. Even with the 2 NCs, I can't argue with the list.

USC started the decade at 5-7 and 6-6, don't forget. The top 3 in my book are LSU (homer choice, but still has 2 BCS championships and a 4-0 BCS bowl record), UF, USC, OU.
Texas doesn't deserve ranking above LSU. Yes, Texas has been consistent, but has one conference championship and one BCS championship over the same period that LSU has 3 conference championships (in a better conference) and 2 BCS championships. A dominant team wins championships, Texas hasn't done that consistently in this decade.
OU has been consistent too, but their BCS bowl record has to weigh against them. Yes they got to the BCS games, but OU is the only team in the top 5 on the list with losing bowl record, and a 1-5 record in the last 6 bowls is pretty unimpressive. A dominant program has to be a winner in big games, and OU is consistent in coming up short over the period.
As between LSU, UF, and USC, it is a close call, but I think overall, it is hard to argue that these three are the most dominant of the decade. If one of these 3 wins the BCS this year, that team will be the dominant team without serious question.
