That is false. Some Auburn fans may blame a lot on the REC, but shortcomings is not one of them.

It's something every school in the league does, but Alabama is better than everyone else by a substantial margin, so people have to take their shots somewhere

What I want to know... what is "The REC" ?
AKA "The Hushpuppy Mafia"
Truth: Over-weight middle-aged white folks that get together by driving their Chevy Cruise Eco's to various eateries to talk/fap about Alabama football.
Truth according to ITAT: A secret society created 2,013 years ago to destroy Jesus Christ and now controls world events for the sole purpose of keeping Auburn football down by any means necessary.

The REC is the Red Elephant Club. They are a club of Alabama alumni that are responsible for paying off refs, fixing transcripts, ensuring certain alums are hired as SEC refs, and also making sure the SEC office is stocked with Alabama alumni.
I'm sure I missed some of their other duties.
Japanese steak dinners, house sitting, Dodge Chargers, new rims, suits, signing athletic gear, etc.

Allegedly...
They oversign, don't have cap space for them, evaluate them all on campus without actually giving them scholarships, then start revoking scholarships from kids who didn't live up to the hype, even though the kid didn't necessarily do anything wrong, and give that scholly to a new kid. Then greyshirt the other recruits who didn't evaluate well enough on campus, after it's too late for them to change their mind and go to another school, because it's after National Signing Day.
That is Pre-Processing.
Processing occurs when a player who is buried on the depth chart decides to transfer, quit football, or develop an irreparable medical condition for the betterment of the program.

Chevy never made a Cruise....or a Cruise Eco for that matter.
This is clearly the lie. fricking REC infiltrating the SECr.

This is apparently the real truth.

the 85th and 86th most talented guys are left alone in a room with a 9mm. Saban says make it quick

So the REC is responsible for the rebuilding and pimping out of Hokkaido?

The whole process involves the lunacy of the NCAA is actively supporting giving players the hook, first they say you can have 85 but allow 25 to be signed each year so right off the bat 15 players are going to bent over without KY support.
The next phase involves recruitment...the coaches sit in a living room with a player and tell that player and his family...we want you, we need you, come one down we ll take care off, ofcourse they say that same shite to 80 or so players they are skulking for.
The next phase involves signing day and the drama that ensues when they have over signed...I think Saban owns this day's drama-dude should have his own soap opera...yep you gotta kick someone to the curb and break those promises and declarations made just a few weeks earlier of looking out for the best interest of the sons of America.
The next phase involves the offseason where individuals deemed 'meh' are charted and targeted by the coaching staff for termination of services when and upon the first little indiscretion over the above time frame.
The penultimate phase is the preseason camp where players that show up out of shape maybe less than another player at a position of great need are told, 'nah pack up we dont need havent got room for ya, want a grey shirt' Les Miles is the demigod to see about this one, he rocks this shite.
The last phase involves the season, once again players that have performed 'bleh meh' are charted and targeted for the phase two paragraphs above
and thats how you get the numbers to work out
aka the process

I think you pretty much nailed it. Sounds a lot like how life works, or should work. If not for the "everybody gets a trophy" crowd. Work to be the best or GTFO.

When we over-sign, we have to make room for the new signees. This usually comes in the form of players transferring, grayshirting, or something else. That's called processing
That sounds awfully mean. How many players has Saban done this to?
