Vandy recruits well because:
1. Tim Corbin
2. Proven pipeline to MLB
3. 2nd most wins of any college program this decade plus a national title
4. Academic prestige
5. Nashville
The scholarship thing is a scapegoat by bitter opposing fans

Vandy does have one disadvantage, they got the worst stadium in the SEC. In the old days, you could break your ankle in left. The field sloped upward.

Have you seen Vanderbilt’s stadium? It’s hardly the worst in the league. It may not have to largest capacity but it’s pretty damn nice.
