Davis is good, but we're incredibly deep and talented at RB.

Davis is better than good. He's one of the top RBs in the SEC in the coming year. If Gurley doesn't stay healthy, Davis could run away with the SEC rushing title.

Thompson can deliver the ball, that's his forte.

Question. How mobile is Thompson? Does he tend to pull the ball down and run, or is he pretty stationary?

He's a pocket passer but he can run fairly well. Against Clemson he had two runs of 19 yards each. Maybe he won't be able to do a lot of that sneaky stuff this year because teams will actually defend it. Clemson wasn't expecting him to hold on to the ball.

I believe y'all are 8-6 against us since 2000.

The series has definitely taken a turn for the worse for us. SouCar has turned this into a nail biter every year. And even when we were winning a bit more regularly, they were close games. I expect this season to be no different.

I could have killed Jared Cook in that game. All he had to do was reach for the ball, and TD. The first 2010 and 2011 games were shite, too.

I could have killed Tubs in that game. That game was the definition of a classical Tubershell. He would not let Borges do anything that year but run between the tackles.

Yea we've got Furman before y'all so it's basically an open date.

Now if it was Wofford, that'd be a different story

Out game does have potential to be the game of the year in the SEC this year and since it's played so late there will be big SECCG implications. I expect both teams to be in the top 10 and wouldn't be surprised if gameday decides to go there

Onside kick in the third won the game though.

Never thought I'd ever see a team hold the ball for an entire quarter

Our DC knows Spurriers tendancies and will exploit them.

AU might win but it won't be because of Ellis Johnson. Wonder if Spurrier knows his tendancies, or is that just a one way street?

You better hope AU doesn't run into Louisville bc Ellis has never even slowed down Petrino, and I'm pretty sure he knows his tendancies as well.

And an open date before Furman.

Extra Practice for the Purple Paladins or extra rest after the street fight in Lexington??

Disappointing response. At least give me something reasonable to work with. You used to be a better troll but I don't even think you try anymore.

yep... Ward's definitely an upgrade over EJ

Johnson
2008: 291 ypg/ 4th
2009: 300 ypg/ 3rd
2010: 354 ypg/ 7th
2011: 267 ypg/ 3rd

Ward
2012: 315 ypg/ 4th
2013: 350 ypg/ 5th

If anything, Ward has continued the success EJ had at USCe...

I don't expect you to say anything negative about your DC. Hell, it wasn't until this offseason when UGA fans could finally admit that Grantham was shite for brains.

Ward's defenses play with a swagger and confidence that EJ's didn't. EJ did a great job after Nix, and I'm thankful that he was here. But I'm not exactly nervous about USC having to play against his defense this fall.

You can keep EJ. I'm glad Ward is here.

Yep Thursday night game, I was on the fifty ... the Cook drop plus the fact that (transfer) Irons (wasn't it him?) had a great game plus the fact that we did not touch the ball in the 3rd qtr.
