Both of these guys were amazing college QBs and both led their squads to national titles.

Many of you would choose Tim Tebow and I understand why, but I would take Cam every time and I’ll tell you why.

1. Tim Tebow had some of the best talent in the country around him. He was a winner and had a really good attitude and was a good role model, but he had better talent at nearly every position compared to Cam.

2. Cam had an Aura of luck around him. I can’t explain it, and many chalk it up as just Auburn being Auburn, but Cam’s luck was just different. Everything seemed to go Auburn’s way when he touched the football.

3. Basically touching back on #1. If you swap the players, Tebow loses 2-3 games with that Auburn team and no one comes close to beating Florida either year with Cam.

Both have been rumored to play for the other team.

Going Tim here. 3 year starter and 3 time heisman finalist (winner) > 1 year starter and heisman winner

Cam played one year so that’s not really a fair comparison.

I don't like him, but Cam all day, every day, and twice on Sunday.

Cam had the greatest single season I've ever seen. He took a 4 loss team to the MNC. If he weren't such a dumass and got to be a 2-3 year starter I think he'd be regarded as the greatest college football player of all time.

Tebow was a beast, but Cam was bigger, stronger, faster, and is a much better passer.

Sidenote- I could see them dating one day. Their kids would be awesome QB's

Sure I see your point. So why compare the two quarterbacks if without a doubt Tim had a far better career? It's a dumb comparison to begin with

Urban would have had an unstoppable dynasty if Cam didn't get kicked off the team.

The point is a guy came in and in his first year won a title with an 8-4 talent team and went pro immediately. The other one played 3 seasons with the best talent in the country and won 1 title and didn’t make it in the pros. It literally makes no sense to me why anyone would take Tebow over Cam. Cam was like if LeBron played college ball.

Tim had quite possibly the best college career in the history of college football. He was the poster child of football for three years. Always has been my favorite player and he was 3x the leader that Cam was off the field.

Off the field has nothing to do with winning a football game.

it has plenty to do with it. Tim was a better leader to his teammates on and off the field (excuse the one murder)

He played 4 seasons and won 2 titles. While he wasn't a starter at QB in '06, he did play and contribute significantly to that offense; he had 800+ combined rushing and passing yards with 13 total TDs...

Auburn also had one of the best defensive players in the nation that year in Nick Fairley...as awesome as Cam was that year, they don't win the national championship without Fairley either...

Yet in your first post you state that:

Many of you would choose Tim Tebow and I understand why
