I’m more concerned about getting some key players hurt and then out of the playoff run. Wouldn’t be the first time playing in that game cost Bama a key player or two and then came back to haunt them later.

With the 12 team playoffs and the future playoffs maybe having more teams like 16-24 playoff. Why have Conference Championships anymore? It now hurts the 2 teams playing in it with possible injuries and playing an extra game while a team like Notre Dame will never have to worry about a Conference Championship. Their team sits and is rested while others teams have to play. With teams possibly playing up to 17 games including the National Championship that is a NFL schedule for college players. It time has passed .
