Why aren't people jumping into this thread? This is important.
Because it was not incriminating for Auburn...

Damn straight money shakes are kosher. It's the hookers with bags of money that gets a school in trouble.

This. No one gives a frick unless it's shite on AU

Gene Marsh paid him off to dish on MSU to make him sound more legitimate when he denies any wrongdoing by AU, obviously.

Cj Johnson got a land rover for going to tsun and nobody noticed. An MSU booster gives a kid enough cash to buy a pair of shoes and the NCAA is all over it.

Sorry that we know how to handle these things.

Incorrect. No one cares unless it's shite on the Big 6. It isn't just AU. Anything about Bama, UGA, UT, FL, LSU, or AU is going to get way more attn than something on MSU.

The kid hasn't stepped foot on the field, the coach was fired, booster was disassociated with and the university had no knowledge. 2 schollies for 1 year at the worst.

Brandon Marcello ?@bmarcello
I can confirm that was, in fact, Byron De'Vinner on @HeadtoHeadRadio. I just spoke to him on the phone. He is declining further interviews.

I wish MSU would learn how to cheat without getting the NCAA involved...dumbasses bring too many investigators around the conference

Did DeVinner say whether or not he told the NCAA that information? If he did tell them, you may have something to worry about.

just saying, I am shocked by this.

The university has been very proactive with the situation. We are not even under formal investigation but rather working alongside the NCAA. Like I said all actions currently taken have been by the school to remove those involved. I won't rule anything out because in my experience we tend to be used as the whipping post but I expect minimal penalties.

Seriously, they get caught, and unlike the rest of the SEC who goes "no, it was just us" MSU tries to make themselves look better and go "NUH UH! ALABAMA AND AUBURN AND MISSISSIPPI WERE DOING THIS TOO! I SAW THEM! MOMMY! WHY YOU SO MEAN???"

So why would the NCAA believe him? If I said I saw a booster give a player $500, what would that be worth?
There has got to be more that that.. A car? Yes. A little cash? WTF?
