#1 in FBS completion %

#2 in single season TDs behind Colt Brennan

#7 in single season passing yards behind Symons, Harrell, Keenum, Anthony Gordon and Colt Brennan.

All three records are on notice in the national championship game. It's insulting to put his name in the same sentence as newton, manziel or any of the other clowns that the SEC used to worship. Burrow is your GOAT, accept it.

Yep.

Only clowns and simpletons will argue otherwise.

So basically Colt Brennan is the GOAT?

And fwiw...
If Lawrence were eligible, he would be drafted ahead of burrow.

I've gone from

Preseason : I think Burrow is going to have a solid year - best QB LSU will have had since Mett in 2012

3 weeks in : Burrow may be a really really good QB

Post Alabama : Burrow is the best QB in the country

Post Georgia : Burrow is the best QB I've ever seen in the SEC

I don't know what else to say about the guy.

- He never misses a read
- He never misses a throw
- He feels pressure like nobody I've ever seen
- He makes the right run/throw decision outside the pocket every single time

And, on top of all that, he has 3 elite NFL receivers, an elite NFL tight end and a great, pass catching and spread built NFL RB. And he seems to have luck on his side in addition to all that stuff.

He's the best

You're going too far Alex Jones .... which Alex Jones tends to do, so I get it.

If he shows out in the championship game then you'll have a real argument to be made ... but please don't jinx him.

Played in the same number of games (14) as Brennan and Keenum. Played in more games than Harrell, Symons and Gordon

It is. Newton, Manziel and Tebow all rushed for more yards in 2 games their Heisman seasons than Burrow did in 14.

So, you think he is better than Tebow, Manziel and Cam Newton?

It's possible, It's very difficult to compare them all.

This is a QB discussion not a running back discussion little fella. Run along now.

way 2 much credit for JB, and not enough for LSU OL and especially their WR's.

JB wouldn't put up half those numbers for Arky,Tenn, etc

His Wr's are a huge reason for his numbers.

It's hard to compare guys who were almost as known for running as they were passing.

I think it's clear Burrow needs to be in a system that plays to his strengths to be as ungodly as he is, but I think you could say the same for Tebow/Manziel/Cam.

They definitely help, but just go to youtube and turn on season long highlights. Every throw he makes is basically on a post it note of perfect. All the slants are perfectly in stride. The throws to the end zone are in a perfect spot for big bodies to go get.

They are just kind of all perfectly aligned together along with the system - much like Cam/Gus/O-line were in 2010 for Auburn.

It's possible, but not likely, that LSU has 1 or fewer losses this season without Burrow.

2012 A&M is 9-4 at best without Manziel. He was the difference in the Ole Miss, Louisiana Tech, Alabama and Oklahoma games.

LSU very easily could have lost to Florida, Auburn and Alabama without Burrow. And their offensive numbers would be really good, not best of all time.

you're delusional if you think Manziel is better than Burrow based on rushing stats.

Combine passing and rushing yards together, Burrow still has him beat.

Clown is talking about rushing stats in a quarterback thread.

He probably argues that Vick is better than Brady, Brees, Peyton and Marino.

Bringing up “games played” when Colt Brennan had more pass attempts. Signs of a true simpleton that doesn’t understand the game of football.

LSU’s offensive line has allowed pressure on 29% of QB dropbacks this year. 8th in the SEC and 62nd in the FBS.

Burrow’s “Heisman moments” all consist of him escaping pressure and hitting guys on the run.

Yea, to be frank, I don't think LSU's offensive line is any better than average. They've done a great job working within the way the game is now called in terms of holding guys at the LOS (that isn't a complaint, it's just an observation) and Burrow does the rest. He feels pressure very frequently, it just doesn't bother him one bit.

The receivers absolutely help, though. No doubt about that.
