How long has Steven been a coach at Auburn? You think the state is going to do anything?
If they nullified his contract it would’ve welcomed by many.

I’m glad you guys made me aware, I never would have realized that someone hiring their son to a position he has never had and is younger than avg could possibly involve nepotism

In other news water is wet. Any parent that doesn’t help their own kids is a sorry parent. How many coaches have had kids as assistants? Bowden was good at it.
That is not the point. The point is that if the state/university were enforcing the law... then these coaches wouldn't be allowed to do this stuff. Any non athletic University employee wouldn't even bother to try to hire their kid.

Alabama Code Section 41-1-5 governs nepotism in state service. Consistent with that statute:
No University employee or officer shall appoint or enter a personal service contract with any person related to him or her within the fourth degree of affinity or consanguinity to any job, position, or office of profit with University.
Any person within the fourth degree of affinity or consanguinity of a University employee shall not be the immediate supervisor for, or in the chain of command of, or participate in the hiring, evaluation, reassignment, promotion, or discipline of, that employee.
