Well, I know, but no one can control how the masses of stupid people perceive information.
CFB and numbers is using it as his propaganda, and the HBO special, while slanted, wasn't guaranteeing it happened. The Auburn responses CERTAINLY didn't help the case, nor did the NCAA. It's not like you have the Devil trying to sully innocent little angels of love.

I love the double standard
The HBO 4 are not journalists reporting on a story second hand. JLee is.

Most intelligent people have questioned the truth of claims, and it seems like a lot of people were aware that HBO didn't work to verify claims. I believe they admitted as much.

If it's proven that tangible benefits changed hands, it won't matter if the recruit knew.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but hasn't it been said that this guy is a longtime friend of Calloway's dad? If he is, the rules are a bit different I believe. The NCAA doesn't regulate pre-existing personal relationships like that the way they would some random booster knocking on the door one day and leaving a crimson briefcase with 10 grand inside of it. Also, I'm pretty sure that gifts are permissible from family friends and what not assuming they knew the recruit before he became a star football player.

Question, what do the others say when you step out of your thread? Do you have to tithe to tuna when you go back?
No one says anything. I wish I could tithe to Tuna. Tuna "gets it". He and others there understand the bigger picture and the ramifications for college football. They understand too, the broader issues of fraud, deceit and immorality that are pervasive in our culture and the effect they have on a sport that we all love and enjoy.

Someone pass me a tissue I felt like Jimmy Swaggart just spoke from the pulpit.

Would you say that it makes Auburn fans mad that Alabama fans aren't taking Jeffy seriously?

Most Auburn fans don't take him seriously either

I think there are a few people in this thread who love the guy...
That said, obviously, if it picks up steam, Alabama fans would freak out. In the meantime, I agree, Operation Red Dog II is pretty funny.

Although one of your own came on earlier today and confirmed the most serious of Jeff's story is true. Where Peaches did receive money a few times.
Ummmm Bamasgot13 or something. He seemed serious too.

I just wish somebody would tell me why this Darren guy was all on Calloway's nuts this past year. Why the hell is the guy traveling to San Antonio with him?

WAIT!!!.... don't let the cat out of the bag yet... it was just starting to get good. Please don't ruin it for those of us watching Auburn's version of "much ado about nothing".

I mean...is it a common thing for a CEO of a company to follow a recruit from a town near him around?
