What the hell has Jones done to piss Manning off?

Gruden? you serious?

I see you aren't familiar with rob's work. RT, you can't try and reason with rob.

Manning and Jones are fine. In fact, what rob is on about is the fact that Manning contacted Jones at the behest of the University of Colorado. What neither Jones nor Manning knew at the time is that soon Jones would be contacted by the University of Tennessee. Of course, rob is trying to make this into a conspiracy because that's his gig around here - basically all he does is say outrageous things about UT and usually not in any language resembling common American English.

As to Gruden... He was a part of one our camps earlier this year.

The man definitely likes his clichés, but I like Butch at UT. He's a big cut above Kiffin, and in a different universe from Dooley.

Will he win championships there? I have no idea. Would like to see him get some time.

Not that it would be a terribly difficult task, but I expect Butch, platitudes and all, to leave the program in a better state than he found it.

This is a pretty damned good assessment, imo.

I didn't see it but yeah it's funny when he does pressers like that it's cliche city but when he actually talks football he's different. If you watch him long enough he's usually answering dumb questions with cliches or doing the standard coachspeak junk and when he gets better questions he gives better answers. Right now all there is to say is what we already know: we're a young team, replacing both lines, excited headed into camp yadda yadda.

That said, I think he'll give up the cliches about the same time he gets a new hair cut.

I could agree with most of this.. but since the OP is a msu fan.. what is the use. Someone from a program with no history, no tradition, who will never win the sec wants to bring up rebuilding when they have been building since the beginning of time.
