Orgeron’s natty was a Cam Newton like fluke. O was lucky to stumble upon Burrow. After Burrow left, O ran your program into the ground.
And LSU was very mediocre last year. The West was garbage last year. The East had the best two teams and the East had the better head-to-head record over the West. Alabama was a talented team except for the fact that their offensive line sucked, they were poorly coached, and they lacked elite receivers. Therefore, kind of like when Missouri won the East in 2014, LSU was just in the right place at the right time.
Don’t make the mistake of thinking that there are better days ahead for LSU under Kelly. Even if Saban’s teams continue to disappoint. BK is never getting past Kirby.
