Yep, they have been posers their entire existence. They even copied “Longhorn” from Texas A&M. The Aggie yearbook was called the Longhorn and had a picture of a really cool Longhorn on the front, One year one of their chancellors saw it, And thought to himself, we should call ourselves the Longhorns instead of “varsity”. The guy that wrote their fight song copied the Texas A&M song and is quoted in his biography by saying he was so jealous the aggie fight song was so moving that he had to do something similar.
