The main thing is don't let Clowney pull a Michigan bowl game-esque mauler hit on Mauk

Yes. OL play is critical this week. That, and our RBs - hope Murphy is back from his concussion so we have 3 healthy RBs out there.

If we can keep Clowney from being too big a factor, I like our chances of pulling some Mauk and awe against their secondary though.

Glad to see Mizzou fans finally grasping the "take no week off" concept that is football in the SEC.

Makes for a fun season huh.

Indeed!

I've said this more than once, I'd rather have a 7 or 8 win season in the SEC than a 10 or 11 win season in the Big 12.

Every game in the SEC is a big game. They're all exciting! Also, I'd far rather travel to SEC games than Big 12 games.

I mean, where would you rather go - to Georgia or Florida, or to Kansas and Iowa?

No brainer.

To be perfectly clear: I'd much rather win out in the SEC East than finish with 7 or 8 wins, but I must be cautious and temper my expectations a bit.

Mauk and awe -- nice.

South Carolina will be a good game - if, and only if, Conner Shaw is playing well. But, with his knee issues, he is best sitting. Our defense will be all over him.

A&M - we will defeat in detail. Our defense will blow through through OL. And their defense just isn't up to the task. The A&M game will be embarrassing for them.

Really, MU has no significant threats to its dominance until we play Alabama. That game will be one to watch. Any other year, I'd say it would likely be a close loss. This year, provided we stay healthy and play at the level we can, we can beat Alabama. The question is will we. I hope so.

It would be a statement that cannot be overlooked or passed over.

Hope the players are not listening to any of the hype and ranking buzz....but as a fan, I know this game is a must win for the spotlight to continue.

On the other hand, maybe a little love is a powerful motivator; combined with their determination to show their true stripes, after last year's flop.

Bogie, one of the captains said the team views it as a 12-step process. Beating Florida was step 7. I'm hoping they can keep their focus.

Baked, grilled, fried, roasted or raw, Tigers love them some chicken.

Now I can talk smack with the best of them, just run on back down there and play with your little "game"cock.

The only game on the schedule that would be a surprising loss is Kentucky. Every other game is going to be a battle.

You're going to lose three games. SC, Ole Miss, and A&M. Georgia is going to win out. Then we'll hold the tiebreaker of SC and UT, and UF. Dawgs go to SEC champ game.

Shaw not playing. Thompson will do fine with a week to prepare

Oh yeah. Thompson is a good QB. Won't be much of a drop-off it at all. I like SC's defense to hold them in check. I know its an unlikely scenario for them to lose 3, but its entirely possible. All 3 of those games are easily losable. I don't think we have much to worry about with UF. Auburn game scares me, and it sucks that we have to play at Jordan-Hare again because of the damn bridge scheduling. But things could fall into place for us if we just win.

I understand your desire for this to happen, but don't bet the farm!

It is one game at a time for Mizzou. They know every team in the SEC can be a threat.

Respect all, fear none!

I wouldn't bet $10. Just saying it is a possibility makes me feel better.

After just losing to Vandy, we better be worried about UF! And APP state for that matter.

All you have to worry about UF is hiding your pain meds and Ace bandages in case we are running low.
