In that scenario Alabama plays Texas for the title, and UGA and South Carolina get in. Tennessee would deserve being in over Indiana, but not sure if they committee would agree.

Oregon, Penn St, Indiana, and Ohio St did screw up and lose regular season games they shouldn't have.

are there people out there that think that a commitee would ever put 5 teams from one conference in the playoffs?
Say Michigan won vs. Illinois and Washington, they'd be 9-3 (1 OOC loss) with a quality win vs. Illinois, @Tosu, and a late season quality loss @ Indiana.
