It's a general disposition and mindset that is shared by everyone in that shithole state. A whole lot of average. A whole lot of don't give a frick, shoulder shrugging. Fans, coaches, administration, etc.

Your don't give a frick attitude doesn't directly affect the team, but it is a microcosm of the big picture - the culture - that creates a perennial 3rd place team in the West.

You people made fun of us for putting 92,000+ fans in Bryant-Denny for A-Day in 2007. But that is also a microcosm of our program. That mindset and enthusiasm program-wide is what has allowed Alabama to become the greatest sports dynasty of all time.
