However, I am guessing that he was at least offered the chance to be QB, as that is what he wants and is also likely why he chose to go with another school other than UGA.

Georgia doesnt recruit Gainesville that well. One of my buddies played there, and had a offer from just about everyone in the south but not Georgia.

I hear that Sims is ery academic minded and it was the free textbooks that sealed the deal for him. Kid loves to study and this is the kind of kid we want. The intellectuals. I wish him well.

I heard that Tai-lor Jones is UGA bound since he got that UGA offer.

UGA hasn't had many from Gainesville, but they did get Walter Hill a couple of years ago before they kicked him off the team this past Fall. If a good player from the state of Georgia has offers from all over except for from Georgia, it usually means one of two things.. 1) they don't think they can get the kid past the admissions committee that was set up after the Harrick deal (Markeith Ambles is a great example of this) or 2) they really don't think he has much of a chance of qualifying. Both these things don't mean that the player in question will continue to be a bad influence when he gets to college or some kids that they think will qualify, don't, but I do think other programs should always see it as a red flag when the instate program doesn't even offer a top prospect, no matter what state you are in.

In this case, Sims did have an offer as an athlete, but there are some who think he is even Juco bound, not prep school. And just from looking at history, not too many JUCOs make it back to UGA. Also, UGA is going to have a tough time getting anything but a project QB this year with the depth chart looking like it does.

If he's a QB in high school, he's fairly intelligent. That excites me along with his rushing ability. RMFTR!
