Assuming UK goes after T. Johnson and gets him this year, I don't mind having BG as our LSU HC at all, just my 2 cents.

this is the stupidest prediction ever. Gillespie is no better than John Brady and I sincerely mean that.

Man he was an overrated hire; he completely wrecked the program.

Billy D turned them down 2 years ago and would again. Doubtful they would even bother trying.

Seems like the first guy they should be targeting Calipari.

But I bet they are wishing they had TJ instead of BG.

I could also see Calipari if the money's right, which I'm sure it will be

no way he wants that retarded pressure that job holds

he has another sick #1 recruiting class due in at memphis and is likely to win a National Title in the next few years there and maybe multiple titles..the class is that sick

Calipari aint going anywhere

Would they go after B. Self or B. Weber, or B. Howland or even S. Miller?

Last comment on this. Are you putting Pitino in the same league as Wooden?

Who knows, that was a unique time in college basketball. UCLA could pick and choose players from coast to coast. In addition there was a Doctor that was reported to be giving them a little help. Similar to the Reggie Bush situation at USC, they were above suspicion in the eyes of the media and the NCAA.

Didn't get past you thought though. I really want to leave this alone but to put Pitino in the same coaching UNIVERSE with Wooden is stupidity.

Shelvin Mack, who is a freshman at Butler, is from Lexington. The media in Lexington and alumni have killed Gillespie for letting him escape.

Getting rid of a coach two years in is insane, unless there are major violations or the program completely falls apart (and no, playing in the NIT does not count as completely falling apart. But SEC schools and patient, rational thought on coaching decisions rarely go together.

Butler fans always have to keep an eye on job openings at major schools because Butler is the new cradle of basketball coaches. Kentucky would be real hard for Brad Stevens to turn down (actually there's no way he could turn it down). Granted, I'm sure Kentucky will go after Calipari, Ford, Capel, Sean Miller of Xavier, et al. before turning to Stevens.

Alright I know that ESPN hates LSU but they still haven't said anything about this, and I believe if there was even a little credible evidence of this happening ESPN would have jumped on this considering Kentucky is one of the most storied programs in CB plus w/ the links to Bob Knight taking the job possibly, they definitely would have said something.

But that being said I believe that Billy is gone if Kentucky thinks they can hire Bob Knight

Just out of curiosity, what was the previous "cradle of basketball coaches"?

VCU is doing a good job, they have produced Jeff Chapel, now coach of Oklahoma, and now have Anthony Grant, one of the hottest young head coaches in the country

Ohh OK fair point, I personally think he could recruit really well, but what coach do you think they should get?
