This is the name I always remember from the 80s:

For every sure-shot like a Tim Tebow at Florida there are likely to be several others like Chris Pettaway at LSU (or Rick Clausen, Amp Hill, Cisco Perkins, or anyone of a litany of vaguely familiar or forgotten names).

Pettaway, lest we forget, was a Prep All-American from Miami who 20 years ago was projected to be the next great Tiger offensive lineman.

In four years at LSU, though, he not only seldom saw the field, he never lettered. LINK

high school i would say sammy williams.he was all state.in his early years he was 1st team rb on a team with warrick dunn 3rd team.once they hit middle school they went seperate ways.sammy went to baker.a allstate kick off return man and wr.in the all star game after high school he had 3 tds.texas a and m was his choice but grades sank him.along with a drug problem.i seen him 5 years ago working in albertsons.
