Biggest fallout from this game is the possibility Bama no longer gets automatic backdoor

1.) People that make these decisions don’t forget games like this. Shouldn’t be a surprise moving forward if Bama isn’t always on the right side if deciding between 2+ teams they way they always have in recent memory.

But more importantly:

2.) Money talks, and this is bad for business:
quote:

Clemson's blowout win over Alabama delivers ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/ESPNews a 14.6 overnight rating. Lowest for a college football national championship since Bama-LSU in 2012 (13.8 just on ESPN). Thriller last year with Bama-Georgia got a 16.7

What do you think? Reasonable or a stretch?

they will need to be embarrassed in the semi final in a year like last year before we start questioning whether or not they automatically have a spot in the playoffs no matter what

We walked through the SEC and had zero opposition until the finals where we played a team our equal for the past 4 years

We gonna get in all the backdoors. Starting with L8U's again next year.

Best part is, the post-game trophy presentation was up, ratings wise

Earned a 7.3 compared to last year’s 6.9.

Sorry. I’m having issues taking your predictions seriously.

Nah

If we have another 2017 like situation where a winner of a major conference is 11-2 with an embarrassing blowout, while Alabama is sitting at home at 11-1, they'll probably still get the nod.

Point some out to me and I'll try to muddle through it.

Bama or any school with a good schedule should absolutely get the nod there

No doubt.

they should have lost last year too.

And honestly got lucky in that 1st game vs Clemson. Bama actually "could" have been looking at 4 straight losses.

They got the backdoor alright, just not the one they wanted.
