Dumbass, our best team was in 2005 when we lost to Texas in the SR. They went on to win the NC and their coach said we were the best team that they played that year. Our team wasn't very good offensively last year Also, Bianco just inked his best class ever. If he could just win the 3rd game in the SR...

Yeah 2005 was easily our best baseball team we've had recently.

IF and a big IF Ole Miss ever wins a NC in the big three it will definitely be in Baseball.

Baseball - 10%
Football - 1%
Basketball - 0%

But probably no NC's coming anytime soon.

Ole Miss has great fan support. So does MSU. I don't know how you can say one is better than the other.

+1

FWIW Ole Miss does have good fan support but its only in the last 10 years. State has some die hard fans that have been following the Diamond Dawgs for 30+ years

I wish LSU and Ole Miss would hook up in a Super Regional at Alex Box. Imagine the atmosphere.

It would be unreal.

Our only saving prayer is Baseball. We COULD have won it but the championship when we went was a 1 game wins it all I believe. Changed it right after too.

Vandy was overall #1 national seed several years ago and couldn't get out of their regional. I have been watching the CWS since 82 (almost every game) and I do not recall Vandy ever being there.
Back to the OP -
South Carolina in baseball most likely. I do like John Cohen but we are a couple of years away from even getting back to Omaha and since we have been so many times and never won it, I would say the chances are slim. None of the 5 in basketball will win one. Arkansas has the tradition but their program has been set back 10 years. Football out of the 5 - not a chance.

Around 28,000 in attendance for two games in our super regional.

Ole Miss is baseball-crazy just like MSU, I don't care if you jam a couple of thousand extra rednecks into Dudy-Noble on a given weekend.

I know state has a higher attendance, but what about students? I know Ole Miss student attendance to baseball games is one of the best if not the best in the country.
