I'll take Auburns program all day over UT. Sure they have more history last century, but the past decade or so is all that's relevant to my fandom. Currently, it's clear AU is the better program.

So you are either 10 years old or a band-wagoner....

They were at one time. They are not anymore, and haven't been for a while.

Georgia and LSU have better programs than auburn historically also. Sucks to suck

Auburn has won more games than Tennessee dating all the way back to 1960. If Tennessee is better, it is largely because they were better in the 1930's, 1940's, and 1950's

Actually, since 1960......
Tennessee=429
Auburn=428

You do realize this thread was designed for you to say that and for me to respond to it? The point is to get Tennessee and Auburn fans to fight. What could be more amusing a gump?

Thing is, his statement was false.

Don't fall for this thread. See my last post. The whole point is to get us to fight for his amusement.

All time counts. Can't be selective.

The Viles have a better win %, more national titles, and more conference titles.

I'm not sure on the H2H, but that is hardly ever used when measuring all time program success.

Football wasn't a big deal in my house and I grew up in Minnesota and currently attend AU, so neither.

If you factor strength of schedule into the equation like college football warehouse does when they rank the best programs historically, there is very little difference period. Tennessee has won more, but they have also played a weaker schedule historically. I believe Tennessee is 11th and Auburn is 13th in their current rankings of best programs all time, but Auburn could likely pass them with a another national championship or two or three BCS bowl games

ETA: UTk is the 2nd best SEC program ever, hands down.
