I have to admit, I don't understand the continuing hatred of Alleva by LSU fans.

He was an ineffective AD from the get go. Could not handle a crisis. Blew it terribly on the Hurricane Matthew issue and, more importantly, the Will Wade suspension. He preferred to work for the interests of outsiders (SEC, NCAA, reactionary sports media) rather than LSU.
