80% of the SEC teams that made the playoffs will lose.

That's the BEST case.

Well, yeah.

Only one team can win it all.

Can't argue with math, but pundits will use it to make a case on how bad the SEC has become...

Well, was it even possible for an all SEC natty game?

100% of the teams that didn't make the playoffs have no shot at a national championship.

Am I?

I'm simply pointing out what the narrative is going to be with regards to the conference EVEN IF one of the SEC teams is fortunate enough to win it all.

The playoffs have made most seasons a disappointment for many teams. Used to be fans were happy with a 10 win season and a bowl victory. Now it’s all or nothing.

Excellent point.

And I think folks are missing the tongue in cheek sarcasm in my original post.

I could have also said best case for the Big10 is that 67% of their teams that made the playoffs will lose.

Yes, and it still is.

Bama is in the top half of the bracket, and UGA and Ole Miss are in the bottom half.
