Forgot about Shaun Alexander. Watched him run wild on us that night.

I was fairly young though. My memories are mostly from replays and his pro career.

I saw McFadden play twice and I was in awe of not only his running but how fricking huge he was. Perfect physical speciman

I'm not old enough to have seen too many of the greats.
I saw Kevin Faulk and Darren McFadden though.
I'll take Faulk over McFadden, if barely.

Cecil Collins was the most dominating I have seen. He just didn't play long enough to matter outside of Baton Rouge.

Does it count if I only saw Bo play baseball live? He took Nolan Ryan deep twice, once for an out and once for a double.

Cecil "the Sex Offender" Collins really was impressive. He was the best I ever saw in a Tiger uniform(which includes D. Hilliard). If he had not had so many "problems", he realistically could've won a Heisman. Unfortunately it will forever be speculation.

1980-85, these are the notable running backs I personally got to see play:
- Auburn - James Brooks, Bo Jackson, Lionel James, Brent Fullwood
- Florida - Neal Anderson
- FSU - Greg Allen
- UGA - Herschel Walker
- Miami - Alonzo Highsmith
- Nebraska - Mike Rozier, Roger Craig, Turner Gill (yes, QB I know, but mostly a runner)
- Southern Miss - Sammy Winder

Consider this... Bo and Herschel were about the same height but 15-20 lbs heavier and FASTER.

Bo Jackson best live...Herschel Walker best on TV

Emmitt Smith.
I saw him play against BAMA in B'ham. I had to look up the specific year, and it was 1987. That was his first collegiate start and he only ran 39 times for 229 yards. We were all asking, "Who is that guy"?

Didn't see 'em all in college, but the best SEC backs I've ever seen in person are, in order:
Emmitt (as a Cowboy)
Herschel (as a Cowboy)
DMac
Felix (as a Hog and Cowboy)
Ronnie Brown (AU)
Kevin Faulk
Jamal Lewis
Su Alexander
