Because a Big East Cincy squad, which btw finished with a much better record than we did that year, had the talent to compete with a team loaded with Justin Hunter, Da'Rick Rogers, Tyler Bray and Mychal Rivera (to name just a few). Dooley was always good for winning his first few games.
Of course, this from the same board that thought Utah State would whip our arse this year.

Sumlin and Bert are the easy answers. Saban,Miles, and Gus have hardware to warrant their pay, Sumlin and Bert make SECCG $$$ without the hardware. Pretty silly really
