The games over. The refs called the game the way they saw it.

The defender should have yelled at him to let him know he was going to be blocked. Maybe they should have issued a wooden train whistle in case an offensive player is going to be caught off guard.

I’m not against the blindside rule being as how I’ve been a victim of these hits, but let’s just say it could have been a whole lot worse and players need to be aware of their surroundings as well in these situations.

Love how folks that are days late to the party think I'm still upset about this...

When the qb throws a pick he becomes a defensive player and is subjected to being blocked as such. If we’re gonna say you can’t block the qb then don’t allow the qb to make a tackle either. Write it in the rule book that followings turnover the qb is basically a non player.

Yes, because that is exactly what I said.

The QB is an active participant in the play, yes.

That doesn't mean that the hit was legal.

Why is everyone so defensive of a guy who made a critical mistake on a huge play for his team? HE EVEN KNEW HE HAD DONE SOMETHING WRONG. Watch the play. He very clearly knows he did something that was borderline wrong (at best).

Every time this happens in a game...literally every time...it draws a flag. Every single time.
