Dear Mr Lataerian,

Since this is a "Baum history thread" and I sense your desire for me to discuss actual sports.....Can you please tell me How many Super Regionals have been won by Arkansas at the Baum facility in the history of that facility.

Sincerely,

Le Crow

You brought up success. Success is an objective term, but I'm pretty damn happy. Jackass, I got a great education and also enjoy LSU athletics. I got the best of both worlds. Arky only has hopes and dreams.

I brought up you saying you're glad you didn't go to Arky because of the success of the sports teams. I called you out because that's an asinine statement. I mean, if that's what's most important to you why didn't you go to Bama?

If you got a good education at LSU good for you, I'm happy with the one I got from Arkansas, even met my wife there and had a great 5 years. Don't regret a thing, the sports are just a bonus.

So information, facts and history on a thread titled "Baum Stadium History" does not matter?

What kind of thread would this be then? What is the purposes of having it?

I have a want for historical perspective on the Baum.

Finally we agree. Sports are a bonus and I wouldnt trade my time at LSU for anything. I'm even happier I never got married or have kids though. I'm makin my 1st trip to Fayetteville next weekend. Been to Little Rock and that was the worst road fb I've ever been to. My high school's stadium is better than war memorial. I hope the accomodations on campus are better.

yeah LR's a shite hole, facilities in Fayetteville are way better. I think you'll like Baum, it's really a beautiful park. Enjoy Fayetteville and good luck in the series.

Research to date indicates that it doesn't seem that this Baum Stadium has ever been the venue that a ticket to the CWS was punched at.

Is this true?

2004

we've clinched a couple times on the road, not sure if the home team fans stayed and celebrated with us though.

Incorrect. Unfortunately I was at LSU during the Curley Hallman days. My frosh yr we went 2-9. worst year in the history of LSU fb. Did see Dinardo take over in 96 and geaux 10-2.

Baum Stadium hosted its first #1 vs. #1 matchup ever on April 7, 2009, a 7-3 Razorbacks victory over the Arizona State Sun Devils.[3] The Hogs were #1 in Collegiate Baseball's poll, with ASU pulling a top ranking from Baseball America and the USA Today/ESPN Coaches' Poll.[4] The very next night, the Hogs set a then Baum Stadium record for attendance at 11,044 when they completed the sweep of the Sun Devils.[5]

2009 was a good year at the Baum. they hosted a #1 vs #1 matchup. Two storied programs with five CWS Championships between them. What a game the Baum hosted that year of 2009.

So....one would say the dogpile at the Baum in 2004 was the greatest dogpile in the history of Arkansas baseball program? Yes, No, Maybe.

I'm not sure I would have to see it in chart form.

Would you say that LSU has had infinitely more baseball success this year and throughout the history of the SEC, since Arky joined....and if so, how does one explain all the Arky chest thumping,we're the best,we're # 1 claims, virtually EVERY season ?
Is it simply false bravado OR are most Arky fans here, amateur trollers/comedians/coat-tailers...or simply have nothing better to do ?
