Headed to the bottom of the 8th, still 5-2 VU.

I've good for one or two every now and then. Just don't choke in Hoover like you always seem to do. You and SC just get in the worst rut there.

Interesting. I seem to recall going in to Hoover seeded 5th last year and not losing until the final, winning 4 out of 5...

Does that replace the previous years where you were bounced in the first or second rounds? SC made the final last year too, but they too have a poor history In Hoover lately.

I think you'd agree that both Vandy and LSU have their sites set a little higher than Hoover.

UK thought they were catching a break getting Beede out of the game only to find out how nasty Carson Fulmer is.

Tell you what, I'm fine with following in the footsteps of SC if it means winning in Omaha!

No, not at all. Do you understand the meaning of the word "always"?

5-3 final. Strange pitching choices there in the 9th but it gave Fulmer and J Miller a chance to pitch in pressure situations on the road. That will pay off down the road.

I was at the game and it was the smart play. UK had the bases loaded with the go ahead guy at the plate. Cousino can hit the HR and you are at UK's park so putting in a new pitcher means he is fresh and it gives Cusino time to think about hitting it. If the alternative is you leave the guy in an he hits with no delay time UK could have won.

Good game for the Dores and the rain held off till everybody was heading to their cars. If it had gone to extra innings who knows if it gets finished tonight. Good turnout from the Vandy fans and they were vocal all game. To UK's credit they kept it a bit closer this time. Too bad the Tigers and Dores did not get a series this year as both look like Omaha teams.
