Actually 19 NC selectors recognized AU as champs in 1983. Along with every computer ranking or analysis ever created.

Here is a good video to show what a fraud most of bammers national championships are. If Auburn claimed a national championship for 1983, it would probably be more legitimate than at least 4 or 5 of the national championships the bammers claim

As I expected, there does not appear to be a single gump smart enough to make an arguement for a team being better than AU in 1983.

Watch the video I posted. Bammer claims a national championship for 1941 when they finished in 3rd place in the SEC, and most of the other national championships they claim from the 1920's, 1930's, and 1940's were awarded 15 or 20 years after the fact and often by geologist in their spare time. That is really and truly something to laugh about
