should have an attorney pushing for a fair and expedited resolution to this case.
Or he delays until contracts are signed and money is coming in, if the case will not turn out the greatest for the defendant

Damn 8 min in the local news in Baton Rouge WBRZ, and this made the news. All Bama all the time.

I agree, but the poster I responded to said "a few years ago". A defendant like Robinson, with the income potential at risk on a case dragging out, should have an attorney pushing for a fair and expedited resolution to this case. Not saying he'll get it, but he's more likely to get it than someone who knows jail time is coming and is perfectly fine with delaying the inevitable. That's all i'm sayin.
Thing is CRob is charged with a felony. NYC is right that a "fair and expedited resolution" is still very likely going to take months.
If you don't see that felony dropped or reduced to a misdemeanor in the next few days, CRob has played his last down of college football.

What was it Cris Carter told the NFL rookies? Always have your volunteer fall-guy along with you?
Bye Hootie.
Bye Hootie.

D. A. usually allows non- violent first offenders in similar cases to enter diversion program ( diverted from criminal justice system to get 2 d chance at not ruining life before it gets started) , the terms of which are stay out of trouble for a year and charges will be dismissed. This case likely to be handled in that normal fashion.

Will this be a half game or whole game suspension? Or is this a team vote kinda thing?

I hate to see any kid mess up their future. Completely pointless!

This really sucks for these talented kids. They should have made better decisions and hopefully they learn and grow from this mistake.

RA his dumbass.
Done.
For a thread about kids from Louisiana who play for Alabama getting arrested, this has been a remarkably civil discussion.
Don't need his bullshait to screw it up.

It's a sad situation no matter what school or state is involved.

You don't really think NFL teams are going to take the risk on him before this case reaches resolution, do you? The case will need to be resolved before his NFL future is clear (see Collins, La'el).

JSM is right. At least here in Monroe. If CRob is a first offender (which by all accounts it appears he is), it's highly likely he will get felony diversion. I think that will require him to meet, in person, once a month with a probation officer, do about 24 hours of community service, and stay the hell out of trouble. Maybe even some decision-making classes and such.
They usually don't let you get out of all of them though. He will have to agree to plead guilty to the misdemeanors most likely.

Don't bring this rational thought into this thread. No one wants to hear that.

That's what happens when you recruit Louisiana trash.
