That's what I've been thinking as well.
Homerism aside, I think Bama's offensive line and offensive production will be better right out of the gates than a lot of the "experts" are thinking. I sense that a lot of experts have been overly influeced by having seen Bama's offense fizzle last season when key starting linemen missed games vs Tulane and Utah. VT certainly plays some stout D. So we'll definitely find out Sept. 5th whether the eight months of hard work that's being put in by the Bama o-line players yields a solid o-line. I happen to think that it will.

That seems to be the perception of a lot of people due to the aura of mystique that surrounds VT special teams. But like someone has already mentioned in this thread, they haven't been that good lately. As a matter of fact, the ONLY team in the SEC last year that had worse punt coverage than VT was MSU. Unless they've improved greatly, there's a good possibility that Javy takes one to the house.
