It is. Just ask Alabama against Auburn. And Georgia in AU/UGA II. Sony Michel went out early in the 3rd quarter, and at that point he was our best RB. For some reason, Auburn fans think they are the only team in America that has injuries.

I don’t remember stating anything of the sort. Alabama fans have been quick to remind us they were missing their LB corps and Tua wasn’t playing. That’s fine with me.

Injuries are a pretty valid reason for poor performance.

Good coaches overcome. They build depth. Good teams have solid backups. Great teams don't lose four games and crap the bed against Central Florida

didn’t watch the game against UCF. No one in Auburn, including the team, gave a shite about it. The season was fun. Beating the shite out of UG and Alabama when both were #1 was a great way to cap off the regular season. Wish we could have made it out healthy, but hey, shite happens.

That’s ok because the rest of the country doesn’t watch your team play anyway, they think the ugliest little village is in Georgia.

Agree. Auburn wasn't a great team last year - just a really good one. And, even still, UGA's best team in 40 years went .500 with them.

Your first accurate statement.
While it's true the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs were.500 against Auburn, Auburn was .000 against the American Athletic Conference. Congrats.

So what is AU excuse for losing 3 of their last 4 bowl games prior to the Sugar Bowl loss to UCF?

Gus is 1-4 in bowl games at AU.

Congrats on the big Birmingham bowl win.

I made a snarky retort that you didn't deserve, so I deleted it.

So, you don't think I can find posts where you blamed injuries for Auburn's loss?
How about you talking about how Auburn dominated Alabama?

Congratulations on playing .500 football. the heights of Auburn football. You get a coach that averages 5 losses a year over a 4 year period and you give him a huge raise and make him one of the highest paid coaches in the country.

Wat? I think you're having some trouble. I absolutely believe Auburn being beat up was a factor in the loss. Georgia played well, we did not. The injuries absolutely played a factor.

We did. Their missing/injured LBs made it much easier to run on them, though. Our defense absolutely stomped their offense, too.

It was on AFN. Not like you're at a remote outpost in Afghanistan.

Nah, that was our national championship in 2010, actually.

We've got the money and the market demands it. See, Gus can keep us in the race almost every year... oh yeah, and he can beat Alabama, too.

Well. .500 last year. now if you want to talk last 5 years. Or 10 years.

2 national Championships and Auburn was under investigation for both of them. Again. Congratulations.

Seriously? You honestly believe a guy that averages 5 wins a year over his past 4 years is the best you could have done for $49 million dollars? Crap. We fired our coach for having better records than that.

Another high water mark, I guess. If Kirby averages 5 losses a year fro the next 4 years, we will get rid of him, not give him an extension.
