Because teams always get gifts during bowl games. Lots of gifts, go look them up.

Ok so he gave them to both teams as a donated bowl swag? Then that is fine, but the title just says that the Bama team got them.

Are there any rules in place to stop any former players from dropping however much money he wants on his former team mates?

None of those guys were his team mates. And if former players dropping gifts is okay, then Arkansas is about to become a huge SEC power as a former Hogs running back suddenly has the ability to give gifts.

Amari Cooper was teammates with 75% of the players on the team currently.

So it's a violation when LeBron did it last year? LeBron, Amari and our compliance staff got the ok from NCAA, so no problem. Everyones hate on this thread about this matter is ridiculous.
