Who gives a shite where you're ranked on September 4th? Few things in football are less important.

Sitting at #1 is fun, but I'd rather lurk behind USC. Alabama has actually spent more time as #1 in 2008 and 2010, when they didn't win titles, than in 2009 and 2011 when they did.
Same here. I was actually glad LSU fell to #3 in the AP. We need to be a little hungrier than the other guys.

I wonder if the guy from michigan will vote for them again this week.

Well, that was one of the easiest predictions I have ever made.

Yea I know, it wasnt his opinion that upset me it was his logic. The specific question was posed, should alabama or USC be ranked number 1. He said USC because they dominated their opponent and were up by 35 at halftime. Then said he thought michigan was over rated and it's not USC's fault they opened up with hawaii (sure it is numb nuts)
He basically said Hawaii>Michigan since bama and usc dominated in similar fashion

Who cares what he thinks, or anyone else for that matter....the winner of Bama/LSU will represent the West and likely the SEC again this year. LSU was #1 a large portion of the year last year...doesn't matter to me if they are #1 or #5.....all they have to do is win and things will take care of themselves.

There is no doubt that Alabama and USC are deserving of the top spots. (Alabama much more so than USC). But you know that USC and Alabama always get the benefit of the doubt. Oklahoma, ND and Texas used to get that benefit of the doubt but it as worn off on these teams because of their shitty performance as of late.
USC, gets the benefit of the doubt because the of the media infatuation with USC. Do you think Oregon would get the benefit of the doubt that USC does? Not a chance.
Alabama IMO, earns their benefit of the doubt. Alabama is loaded. However the media does give Saban the rusty trombone.

Why cause bama beat a one man team? Outside of robinson, michigan was poop.

Lsu beat north texas, they should drop them from the top 10. After week one, alabama has the most impressive victory. Even if michigan is merely the 25th best team in america, they got skullfricked. You suck at life dude
