NYC literally picked by far the worst attendance year in Alabama basketball history (CAG's last season) and thinks that is the norm every year or most years. Laughable how little he actually knows but claims to know more than people who have actually been going to games for 30 years. I can't speak for most of the non conference home games, but for as long as I can remember Alabama has averaged well over 10,000 butts in the seats for home conference games.
Btw, to whoever posted it earlier it IS outlandish to consider Alabama a top 25 overall program. They're about 35th all time in wins but lower when you consider everything else. The last comprehensive ranking of all time basketball programs I saw ranked Alabama #54 among the top 100 programs of all time but that was from a poll done about 10 years ago. We would have dropped since then
The laughable part about it was that he provided the rebuttal for his own post - showing that attendance had dropped a whopping 38,000 from the previous year.
He still hasn't responded to my ban bet acceptance. Doubt he will. Oh well.

I never stated that for this year, the average was around 4k. I stated that with claimed average attendances around 10k, you average around 4k.
We averaged around 4,000 for one season. That's not current or the norm. That's one single year that you just happened to pick out of the many.
So, no, we don't "average" 4,000 per contest. We "averaged" 4,000 in the one of the worst years of Bama basketball in the last several decades.

It was the 3rd worst season in Alabama basketball history.

Well thats simply not true

Its laughable that you claim to know more than actual documented numbers on paper.

probably time to shut this thread down and start the one called "when does Aub get to 10 combinted SEC wins in the big 3 sports in '15-16?"

It means that you were wrong.
Because this is what I said:
And you offered a ban bet based on that statement, and then provided information from 2 seasons ago - and even within that information was a tidbit that said that average was down 2,500+ per contest from the previous year.
Because this is what I said:

Do I believe you that our actual average, butt in seat attendance is only 4,000 per game? Not even a little bit.

It very well could be true. I can almost guarantee it was in the bottom 5 since 1970. Bad team with a coach that fans were actively trying to remove by not showing up or paying attention in the midst of the 3rd worst season in school history.
Again, it was our basketball equivalent to 2012 for Auburn football.

You picked the outlier and presented it as the norm.
Just admit you were wrong, man. You don't have to ban yourself.

You showed one number from one season and you even got the season wrong.
I don't know what you mean by "averages", so I assume we'd use the latest season for that. A season in which Bama basketball averaged over 4000 per night easily. Ban yourself.

It was easily one of the worst years of attendance since we opened Coleman.

But we aren't talking about ticket sales, we are talking about butts in seats. As we've already established, ticket sales include the Tide Pride donation set up. That hasn't existed for forever.
I get what you were doing, but like I said already, that year was Alabama basketball's 2012 Auburn football season. Nobody in their right mind would use 2012 Auburn's attendance figures as the norm. That would be silly.

I thought you caught on to what I said earlier. just so you know how to use correctly. when you have two numbers given, neither is an outlier

Just admit you were wrong

Have you actually provided any number of actual attendance over the years to prove me incorrect

You did that yourself.

Do you actually believe the numbers you quoted aren't an outlier, or are you just arguing for the sake of arguing?

You were wrong, now go sit in the wrong corner and be wrong in your wrongness.
