I mean... I don't mind the banter. I obviously take this less serious than they do. This has been funny but sort of scary at the same time.

You're right. Alabama should have 15 championships. They were screwed in '66 and '77. 15 time National Champion Alabama Crimson Tide has a nice ring to it.

Once you have as many as Alabama does, does it even matter?
22 SEC Championships
8 poll-era national titles
4 undefeated Rose Bowl Champion seasons from the pre-poll era

These championships are purely speculative.

You mean just like every team ever named National Champions?
Posted on 2/22/10 at 10:16 pm to bamaboy87
National Champions are very rarely the country's best team. It's all politics and money.

Except for the past 3 yrs.

There's no way of knowing. The only legit national championships are Division 2 and 3

You can't fault the schools that are awarded the Title though. It isn't their fault that is how it is done. You would pretty much be telling every kid that ever got a National Championship ring that they aren't really National Champions and don't deserve it.

I know that we went undefeated in the toughest conference in the nation while beating the last 3 national champs (LSU,Florida).

Ole Miss is 3-0 against those schools in the last 2 years. That don't mean anything. Did Bama beat Boise State, TCU, Ohio State, or Oregon?
There's no way to know if Bama was 2009/2010's best team.

Well I tell ya what..Why don't you go up to Mount Cody, Rolondo McClain, or even Trent Richardson and tell them to their faces that they weren't the best team in the country and weren't really National Champions.

What's their record against Bama the last 2 yrs?

So in order for someone to be the "best team" they have to play and beat everyone in the Top 10?
