Not according to the story.

Bourbon
That's not a "few blocks from the Dome" like they said.
If they spoke to police then they filed a report, if not then they are retarded. However, you and I know how the NOPD responds to this type of thing after the fact.
University is where all trauma patients are sent if transported via EMT from the QTR. If he elected to go to Baptist, Ochsner, anywhere else, so what? ETA - I know the director of the ER at Tulane, and I wouldn't go there for treatment, given the choice.
Actually Bourbon is only a few blocks from The Dome, but check my edit, I think he said he was on Poydras. I'm not sure why it matters. These things happen. The LSU fan base has a high volume of complete idiots, trust me, I know. I don't think we need to start a witch hunt. It's just an unfortunate aspect of what has become an increasingly hostile atmosphere between these two great programs.

Not at all. People just generally don't punch random old dudes for no reason.
People don't generally teabag strangers at Krystal. What people generally do, doesn't make the news. That's why we're not hearing about the other 80,000 fans, who generally got along.

Way to show your ignorance on the matter gumps. I won't even elaborate on it, but you obviously know nothing about the story so I'll just let you keep making stupid fricking comments...idiots
Yeah he got slap on the wrist when he used someone's head as a kickball and was only charged with a misdemeanor. Is that what you're alluding to?

Well, the report said they went to Tulane do ask your buddy what's up.

Bourbon is a hike from the Dome and they said it happened right by the Dome right after the game at 11pm.

Your buddy NOLA made some claims that differed from the story.

My 'buddy' NOLA, is some random guy on a message board. That negate's the link to a legitimate news agency?

If he knows the director of the ER surely he's talked to him about the incident.

You've got nothing.
Besides, you should be able to verify with your extensive social circle of ER DR's in the New orleans area.

quote:He is a she. I just hate that this has become a self righteous witch hunt for shitty fans. They exist on all sides, and they both suck. I grew up an LSU fan with season tickets, I decided to leave the state for school, but I have not missed a LSU/Bama game since 1990. I have been on both sides of the fence, and I have strong support for both schools. Believe me when I say that my experience on the other side of LSU fanaticism, which I have always loved, woke me up to some things. It sort of threw me for a loop. And I have seen some terrible, terrible shite. I think as a whole LSU fans are better than that, and I try not to generalize, though it's become harder with the new found hatred towards all things Alabama.

Bottom line is this dumb idiot acted like an a-hole. And he is going to suffer, and he has made Alabama fans look bad. But none of us are celebrating him. He is an embarassment. As is any idiot who acts like this, either side of their loyalty, and as should they be. But y'all shouldn't throw stones, and you know it. I just hope this doesn't affect what has become, and should be a great rivalry. Neither of these programs are going anywhere. I don't want to have to pocket brass knuckles when I go to the game. Cooler heads should provide.

So what does SHE have to say about this?

I'll find out, and get back to you. But I'm in medicine in NOLA and I know that he would have been sent to University if he was transported. That was my point. If he walked from the scene and elected to seek treatment somewhere else, he very well may have gone to Tulane. Let me find out.

Are you even paying attention? The fricking victim said he went to Tulane.

quote:Fine, I believe you. I'm trying to verify that on my end. You cited two Dr's who may have not been on staff at the time of the incident. I was just trying to verify on my end. If you want to believe this never happened, that's fine too. I thought we were being civil, but, believe what you want. It's a conspiracy, apparently. And ESPN hates LSU too. Right?

I'm not saying this older cat didn't get punched. However, the details of his troubling ordeal are a bit sketchy. Both people I know were on the night of the game and neither have heard of this coming into their ER that night. Again, THE ACTUAL VICTIM said he was in the Tulane ER.

All those people on Bourbon Street (or was it closer to the dome) and nobody has a picture or video?

Are some of you, not you NOLATide, really getting on someone's arse for questioning the "story", thus in your mind 'not believing the "story"' when in fact the "story" is inaccurate?
Suggestion: Read some of the the thread before you post.
That's like getting on your kid for wondering if the Santa at the mall is real, which you interpret as him not believing in Santa, when, in fact, the kid was correct.
