And arse for posting in a Bama game thread, I won't do it because I'm usually pretty nervous and know that the flaming will be there, so what's the point. Rest assured, I will be here after the game, win or lose.

Part of what makes this board the best IS the latitude posters are given to say what they want. Sure, the flaming gets old at times, but I just walk away from it and come back another day.

While we're complaining and getting things off of our chests, the threads that get hijacked to flirt irritate me. I'll come in from work and see an OP that interests me. I'll respond to the OP with a relevant sports-related reply...only to find out that it's following five pages of flirting shite.

I admitted my guilt in this earlier in the thread. And also made the point that it is confined to one thread almost always.. vs the same flames in every thread. That's my beef. If gonna do nothing but flame.. keep it in one thread and let the others have some decent conversation. I/we don't do that talking in every single thread.. we confine to one, maybe two at times so as not to clutter it for everyone in every thread.

And I appreciate the latitude given here too. Which is why I think it needs to be reminded from time to time that we do need to self police and have some bit of self control on the flames. After all, this is a sports board too and others would actually like to talk without it being derailed with insults all the time too.
