From the ADs comments, he was contacted...but according to timeline, Byrne would have had to almost immediately gone to Seattle after Saban retired for it to have made sense

Let's suppose that he was offered job. After Florida State was passed over for the CFB Playoffs in favor of Alabama, how eager would he be to accept the job?
