Nonsense, the weave offense is very underrated. Especially productive when non-involved players are standing and watching.

What disaster are you talking about? He never had a losing season at Bama.

Just look at SEC play.

Gottfried had 3 winning records in SEC play in 11 years. Grant has had 2 in 3 years.

That NC St. team is loaded with juniors/senior 4/5 stars.

Bama fans don't want to admit that he was/is a very good BB coach. He is a more proven coach than AG and no one wants to admit it. if Gerald Wallace had not gone pro after his freshman season I think MG would have made the final 4 the follwing year. That 2002 team had all the pieces but was missing GW to complete it.

GW would not have helped that 02 team. Mo Williams was too much of a ballhog for that offense to function properly.

We had a very stagnant offense and no semblance of a defense. He had 3 winning SEC seasons in 11 years and made it out of the first weekend of the NCAA tournament once. I'm not going to knight for Grant and say he's a world beater because he hasn't proved it yet, but I can argue with you all day that Gottfried isn't a very good coach. He's an adequate coach.

Nope. I wishe we'd canned his arse four years before we did.

Do you wish you would have kept Rick yet? Your recriminations are on the way...

I got this off another site so it may not be fully accurate but it's pretty damn close:

83-82 overall SEC record in 11 years, with 1 regular season SEC championship, 0 SEC tournament championships (only one trip to the final), only 3 winning records in SEC play, only finished above 3rd in the SEC west on 4 occasions, only made 5 NCAA trips in 11 years and only once past the second round is what you'd want over what we have now?

Bama didn't sniff the tournament in his last years there. Why would one good year at his new gig change that?
