Bama is one injury away at the QB position from Tua Tagovailoa being the offensive MVP of the BCS playoff.

Bert could be our backup QB and it wouldn’t matter.

I opened this thinking the body would read "Pigs could fly". If it had been that I'd have chuckled, but instead you spouted some gobbledygook which only showed you have no idea what you're talking about.

They may be the only great team this year

My dad was around when Bryant was at Bama. I talked to him tonight and asked him what he thought of Bama.
He said "They can't be beat. Penn State has a punchers chance but Bama should be a 2 TD favorite."
I asked dad if it was like that in Bryant's time and he said no. They won the natty in '78 and '79. When State beat them 6-3 to snap the 28 game win streak, it was only a big deal to MSU. They had almost lost to Rutgers a couple weeks before. The year before, LSU should have beaten them, and they had several close games in '78.
"Playing Mama and seeing Bryant on the sideline made assholes cinch up," dad said. Some of the teams had the talent to beat them during that streak. Nobody does this year.
Not an expert - just Bama fan dad calling it like he sees it. He's really wanting to see Penn State-Bama for the title for nostalgic reasons.
"Best game I ever saw in person" '79 Sugar Bowl.

I could link some video of our A-Day game if it would help.

I’m not talking about who LSU played dumbass. I’m talking about who Bama has played.
Ironic retort considering you're unable to comprehend that I was talking about Bama's schedule.

Actually that may have inspired the OP for all we know.

Alabama went through three quarterbacks as injured starter Jay Barker watched from the sideline in a baseball cap. All-purpose threat David Palmer led the Tide to its two touchdowns, but even he could not get the job done.

But I'm probably giving the OP way too much credit. I doubt he was aware that many Bama fans *want* their backup QB under center ASAP.
Now, this is probably what it's gonna take to make pigs fly again:

But four second-half interceptions led to two touchdowns by the visitors and killed what could have been game-tying scores as Alabama had its hopes crushed for repeating as national champion.

Agreed not in game shape

I heard on Moscona today Bama has 13 fumbles on the season but has recovered 10. Going to have to have 1 or 2 of those bounce our way to have a shot.

That actually would be pretty cool but the way JoePa's career ended is going to make it a little awkward for the TV folks to revisit that.
Georgia/Penn State would be a great matchup as well for similar reasons. 1983 Sugar Bowl, #1 vs. #2. Paterno's first title. Dooley's last chance at one.
