Well what did playing the toughest schedule get us? I think we are in the CFP, but the fact that it is even debatable is evidence enough to not make it tougher than it has to be. The committee said they would value strength of schedule and they reneged on that when they put ND ahead of bama when there is no comparison in what those two teams have accomplished.

Any team that is perennially ranked top 10-15 should stop scheduling top OOC opponents. All risk no reward.
It's the smart play with how the playoffs work. If you start at the top and don't lose more than 1-2 games, you'll likely make it to the playoff.

Well, they only have one championship since 1980 without Saban. They are starting to see the return to pre Nick
