Gus Malzahn from Tulsa

There isn't much to say about this hire, it was spectacular. This man has had a top offense everywhere he has gone and has definitive proven success. I'm anticipating that we will need a year to adjust to his offense, but this year we should hopefully be at least be average on offense.

Curtis Luper from Oklahoma State

He was highly successful at Oklahoma State and has worked with other Auburn hire, Trooper Taylor, to form a good coaching combination. He should fit in well under Gus Malzahn.

Trooper Taylor from Oklahoma State

He will fit in well with Luper and be a great recruiting asset as well as a coach. We put together one hell of an offensive staff. He was a Co-offensive coordinator at Oklahoma State and will be a Wide Receivers coach at Auburn. He also has a good history at Tennessee.

Jay Boulware from Iowa State

He used to coach with Gene Chizik at Iowa State as a Special Teams coach and will join Auburn's staff in the same position. He also coached at other schools and is well tenured at his position.

Ted Roof from Minnesota

He has coached defense at quite a few schools, and has done a good job of improving those defenses from what they were before. If Chizik can have a hand in the defense as well, I think we'll remain strong on that side of the ball.

Tracy Rocker from Ole Miss

Tracy Rocker is an Auburn legend with the fantastic career he had at Auburn. He has coached in some good defenses during his coaching tenure, and is a great addition to Auburn's defensive coaching staff.

Jeff Grimes from Colorado

Jeff Grimes was a very good recruiter and a good offensive line coach during his tenure at Colorado. This looks to be a very good hire to end our offensive staff.

Tommy Thigpen from North Carolina

He was a fantastic coach and an even better recruiter at North Carolina. In fact, he is widely renowned as being a top 25 recruiter in the country. This was another good hire for Chizik.

Phillip Lolley from Auburn

He already worked for Auburn as a Director for Auburn's Relations with the NFL. He has been chosen to coach cornerbacks. This is the only somewhat questionable hire coaching wise, but he can probably be a recruiting asset. With the other great defensive minds that coach our defense we should be fine.

Auburn Coaching Staff
Gene Chizik - Head Coach

Offense
Gus Malzahn - Offensive Coordinator
Curtis Luper - Running Backs Coach
Trooper Taylor - Wide Recievers Coach
Jeff Grimes - Offensive Line Coach

Defense
Ted Roof - Defensive Coordinator
Tracy Rocker - Defensive Line Coach
Phillip Lolley - Cornerbacks Coach
Tommy Thigpen - Secondary Coach

Special Teams
Jay Boulware - Special Teams Coach

Auburn has completed its coaching search. The coaching search was completed by Gene Chizik in 64 days. In my opinion, overall this is a fantastic staff.

He's in Auburn and Oklahoma State Scout reports that it has almost been confirmed by Auburn. I'm pretty confident that he will be on Auburn's staff.

Oklahoma State seems confident that he's gone, and he's with Luper in Auburn, so...

I think something will have to go horribly wrong for that hire to not happen.

I know but I am scared when they say "Almost Confirmed".

They are actually going to met with Malzahn tonight about recruiting. Dead period ends Monday.

Most people are saying he will be announced tomorrow as a coach at Auburn.

This is true, and recruiting might get an upgrade after these hires. Terrence Coleman recommitted, which is good.

I believe Antonio talked him into this beginning with Chizz is about to turn this thing around

I have to say Chizik is amazing me so far. I thought he would be an immense failure.

After Trooper Taylor is announced, look for Jeff Koonz to be hired on the defensive side of the ball as our next hire. That would also be a great hire, seeing how he's been at Auburn before and he is a great coach.

Oh God here we go, another off-season of listening to how good Auburn's offense is going to be.

It's certainly preferable to listening to how good Alabama was for the last 15 years.

The hell is your problem? We are putting together a good coaching staff, I never said we would be putting up 400 yards/game.

I remember Trooper Taylor from his Tulane coaching days. He was the coach who got Roydell Williams to sign with Tulane. He will be your designated " chest bump" coach when the players come running off the field. I also remember him barking like a dog at a recruiting function in Catfish Town. From what I hear all the recruits mothers seem to love him. Good Luck.

I am liking the Chizik hire more and more every day. Hopefully Jay Jacobs gives him and his people enough time to get the right people or else we are screwed.

I think he will, but you never know with Jay Jacobs.

Trooper Taylor was announced, as expected, as Auburn's new Wide Recievers Coach.
