Aren't the coaches of the title team usually given that recognition no matter the sport?

Maybe I am in the minority but I am fine with the AD doing this. It is his job to take care of his coaches.
As a matter of fact if the golf coach has a COTY bonus I expect the AD will go ahead and pay it.
Having to pay that bonus is a good problem to have.
