Surprised there's not been any talk of this game (although taking into consideration the underperformance of both teams maybe I shouldn't be). But nonetheless, who ya got?

Boy, how things have changed! According to the preseason hype this was supposed to be the midseason equivalent of USC vs tOSU. In any case, I hope the Aubies represent the SEC well.

He's supposed to be back in the starting lineup this week, but is he ever really "healthy"? Seems like there's always something wrong with that guy.

If White can play effectively they win, if not I'll take Auburn. Right now I say West Virginia by a TD.

I liked Pat White's comments about how he did not like Auburn or Alabama and grew up rooting for Tuskegee, Miles, etc.. (Black colleges) He said that he told Auburn and Alabama early on that he was not interested. I heard that nobody wanted him for a QB and they wanted him for the secondary or WR and that is why he went to WVU.

he was committed to us actually before wvu offered him as a qb. he would have made a fine cb.

Pat White is healthy, altough he missed part of the second half game against marshall on spe. 27 due to an injury to his thumb and suufered a concussion against rutgers on oct. 4th which caused him to sit out the game against syracue Oct. 11th. They had an off week last weekend and according to their coach he is fine and has been practicing with the team and will play against Auburn. His back up is supposedly banged up as well so it should be interesting to see how the use white as far as designed quarterback runs go.

Alabama, Auburn, and Lsu all wanted him as a DB. White really took it personally and has basically done everything but call those three schools racist. He really speaks poorly of alabama and Auburn whenever he talks about him, and he will definatly be playing thursday like he has something to prove. Funny thing is now the only shot he has at the NFL is a position change...probably would have helped his draft status to play his future NFL position in the best defensive leauge in college, but whatever makes the kid happy.

I still like Auburn to win this game. WV looks like garbage, they could barely beat Syracuse.

hence the discussion concerning pat white's health

i would assume the same as always, seeing as how their offense's effectiveness is centered on white's running. when he's healthy and running effectively, it opens up everything else. if not, they're in trouble

still don't see how you can pick au in this game. their d is beat up and that offense is god awful. you gotta figure noel devine is gonna bust one or two long runs in this game.

Yeah that was my take on it as well. Even though auburn is terrible you know that coach wants a win over an SEC team after the terrible start WVU had.

Our offense is god awful, but with Powers back after the off week our defense is pretty much back to full speed. WVU has been less than stellar on offense against some pretty awful teams thus far. Don't get me wrong I am not disagreeing with you picking WVU, I personally think with the game in Morgantown at night with the cold WVU has a slight edge going into the game.

This will be no 0-0 tie. Both offenses are so bad, there will be multiple turnovers.

Auburn's defense outscores WV's defense 7-6.

alot of pressure on Auburn in this one...if they don't win this game, it is highly unlikely they will become bowl eligible...
