You weren't even bowl eligible last year and you're predicting to be bowl eligible 6 games into the season and not losing any of the first 7 games after a win against La Tech. La Tech is one of the worst teams you'll play all year. I would get banned again now because you're going to take a beating this year as your depth problems start to show.

they went 8-5 and won their bowl game last year. They are better than these teams on our schedule

Furman
Ball State
Kentucky
so I would put them 5th easiest on our schedule.

I think 2 losses would be a major success. I think 3 losses is equally likely. None of the games listed are gimmes except Ball State. Kentucky won a bowl game last year. Miss State looks improved. Arky/Tenn will both be favored at home.

Alabama was 6-2 through eight games in 2007 too. There was a legitimate reason to talk titles after the start in 2008. Obviously the talk is justified in 2009 too.

La Tech's record last year doesn't mean anything. Ball State went 12-2 last year. By your logic they should be one of the best teams you play this year.
Kentucky had 7 wins playing in the SEC last year. La Tech is not better than them.
Miss State looks equally improved as Auburn based on one game.
Furman should suck.
I would say Ball State and Furman are your two gimmes. La Tech is your 3rd easiest game making them one of the worst teams you'll play all year. Miss State could be worse but we'll see how Mullen does. Kentucky will be better.
