Tommy T is the best coach you guys will ever have. Ever.
Yeah never mind that whole Pat Dye person AU had in the 80s who dominated the SEC for several years.
Tubs was a very good coach and among the best AU had but not the best.
As bad as it was to see him go sometimes it is best for a coach to move on.

Not much of a train wreck considering AU has had 5 coaches over the past 50+ years until Chizik. Oh yeah, none of them really wanted to leave AU.
None of them really won shite either. Yeah there were a few good seasons here and there, a few win streaks against BAMA but nothing that will ever be considered legendary. Your best coach Pat Dye is remembered more for running from a 60 Minutes interview ("Keep it on the down-low cuz") than for his biggest win, a chicken shite tie in the Sugar Bowl, and you people name your field after him.
Tubby was a loser who could only win in this state because BAMA was paying for it's mistakes with the NCAA. He got off easy getting out of Auburn.
Auburn: When your very best is only good enough for second place.

quote:. You might have forgotten about this, but Arkansas just ran off the most successful coach they had since they joined the SEC a couple of years ago.
How did running off a successful coach work for Nebraska? I believe both Auburn and Tenn will follow their path
Oh wait, dont tell me. Bobby Petrino is going to take all the recruits he has been stealing from Tulsa and Arkansas State and build a dynasty in Fayetville

Dye was a crook. He bought the best he could. "Keep it on the down low cuz" And if he was so great how come Bowden could go undefeated with his players but he could'nt.

Everybody with an IQ above single digits also knows Logan Young had been paying gump players every since Bear Bryant's drunk was roaming the sidelines. He just finally got caught in the Albert Means case

You call Dye a crook, yet is was one of your boosters (Logan Young) who was actually convicted in federal court of paying players. I guess you must have forgotten about that, huh?

Booster, not head coach. Big difference.
Pat Dye only feared one man: Mike Wallace from 60 Min.
